For more information, please visit www.comtech.com.Purpose:Comtech is looking for a Technical Program Manager to support the design, implementation, and continued maintenance of our Next Generation 9-1-1 services. The role will focus on planning and deploying our services while being the customers’ advocate throughout the deployment process. The candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, coordination, and successful preparation, and delivery of NG911 – from call ingress through delivery to the public safety answering point (PSAP).Responsibilities:Develop and implement onboarding processes and procedures required to support the rollout and maintenance of NG9-1-1 servicesManage communications and processes with telecommunications service providersCoordinate internal and external resources in support of required project deliverablesPrimary escalation for ingress call routing issuesIdentify and implement process innovations, programmatic improvements, and automation opportunities for better operational efficiencyFacilitate risk mitigation as a part of service deployment oversightDrive alignment between product, operations, and service delivery to support business growth and efficiencySupport the delivery of our contractually obligated services through our deployment and maintenance phasesHorizontal alignment and coordination between operations and service delivery for implementation and maintenance of services/softwareManage, coordinate, and provide oversight of our vendors and partnersReport and present schedules, progress, and risks to senior leadershipGenerate KPIs from data sources to identify areas of improvementUp to 20% travel requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Technical and operational understanding of NG911 call flowExperience working with telecommunications service providersExcellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent leadership and demonstrated initiativeDemonstrated analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving skillsEstablishing and communicating processProven experience in task management and status reportingDemonstrated leadership, organizational skills, planning skillsAbility to prioritize and escalate where appropriateProven ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environmentQuality orientation with a strong eye for detailCompetency with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Powerpoint, SharepointRequirements:Four-year college degree or 8+ years of 911 systems experience.Several years of experience in the 911 industry3+ years of project management experienceComtech Telecommunications Corp. is an equal opportunity employer.
