Plaintiff Employment Law Attorney (Fully Remote – California)*Confidential application process*One of our top clients is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Attorney to join our dynamic team on a fully remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled advocate passionate about protecting employees rights to work from the comfort of their California home.Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment law matters, including but not limited to:
- Wrongful termination
- Discrimination (race, gender, disability, etc.)
- Harassment (sexual, racial, etc.)
- Retaliation
- Wage and hour violations
- Leave law violations (FMLA, CFRA, etc.)
- Conduct thorough client intakes and provide legal counsel.
- Investigate and analyze factual and legal issues.
- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct and respond to discovery.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings (as needed).
- Develop and execute litigation strategies.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Stay current on developments in California employment law.
- Meet deadlines and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
- 2-15 years of experience practicing plaintiff-side employment law in California.
- Demonstrated strong litigation skills, including experience with discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation (trial experience is a plus).
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload effectively.
- Proficiency in legal case management software and other relevant technology for remote work.
- A strong commitment to advocating for employee rights.
