This role will provide financial analysis and support to a select group of RTRC Program Offices and Departments. This is a well-rounded position that requires interaction with almost every aspect of the organization such as Engineering, Director’s Office, Business Development, and Internal Finance. The role also interacts with financial departments at the other RTX business units.What You will Do
- Financial management of engineering projects within program offices for internally funded, business unit funded, and externally funded through U.S. Government projects.
- Support the Long-Range Plan (LRP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monthly planning and budgeting processes
- Create and distribute monthly program cost reports
- Support teams in tracking and reporting Earned Value Management System (EVMS) data
- Analysis of spend rates and project plans to provide financial guidance to program leaders and proactively raise issues for corrective action
- Provide project financial performance data to RTRC Senior Leadership via the monthly operating reviews (MOR)
- Review invoices for accuracy prior to them being submitted for payment for work performed on U.S. Government contracts
- Complete Government financial reports as required by external U.S. Government contracts
- Participate in the annual Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) submission prep
- Participate in Government and internal audits as required, including assisting management in developing corrective actions
- Utilize Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) tools to identify and drive process improvement initiatives within the organization and in supporting RTRC in achieving its CORE goals
- Ad hoc and special projects
Qualifications You Must Have
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology, Math or related field, or 5 years of relevant experience and an advanced college degree.
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- Strong knowledge of SAP
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and other analytical tools.
- Candidates must be located in and willing to work in a hybrid capacity from RTRC in East Hartford, CT.
