Labor & Employment Associate – CaliforniaOur client, an Am Law 200 law firm, is seeking an associate with 3-4 years of employment defense experience to join their nationally prominent Employment and Labor practice. This position can be based in the firm’s San Francisco or Los Angeles office.The estimated salary range for this position is $250,000-$295,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of solid experience in a wide variety of employment matters, including litigation defense of wage and hour class actions, discrimination and retaliation matters; drafting motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions; and advising clients on company policies and procedures and on key legal risks involving client employment practices
- Experience drafting employment agreements and developing and implementing training programs and auditing programs for employers is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills
- Effective and efficient problem solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Admitted to the California Bar (and in good standing)
