Job description: ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeeking an Information Assurance Advisor to join our dynamic team. This position can be worked remotely. This qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s United States Coast Guard (USCG) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) Program. This program is an enterprise delivery service consisting of several consolidated task orders and is executed to bring innovation and modernization to the USCG enterprise IT environment, within a managed service business model. The USCG enterprise encompasses an extensive range of IT services and has unique solution challenges to meet their mission needs.Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all facets of cybersecurity for the program, reporting directly to the Program Manager and working with Technical Leads across every technical area on the contract.
- Monitors, analyzes, and detects cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
- Assists with integrated, dynamic cyber defense, coordinates and maintains security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.
- Establishes a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace.
- Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates. Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation. Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
- Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
- Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
- Ensures that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
#USCGIMSQualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree and 5 years experience or MS/MA degree and 3 years experience
- Monitors, analyzes, and detects cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
- Assists with integrated, dynamic cyber defense, coordinates and maintains security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.
- Conducts continuous monitoring and analysis of data stream ingests from sensors worldwide. Monitors and maintains data to ensure maximum data availability to tools and personnel
- Collaborates with the incident response team to investigate security incidents, assess the impact, and implement remediation measures . accross the Coast Guard environment.
- Security+ certification
- U.S. Citizenship required; must have an active Top Secret clearance
