We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Liability and Employment Law Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling both general liability and employment law matters, with strong litigation and/or pre-litigation skills. This position involves managing a diverse caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and representing clients in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on general liability matters and employment law issues, including workplace disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, etc.
- Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pre-litigation strategy, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution forums.
- Advise clients on risk management and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Negotiate settlements and work to resolve disputes in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other correspondence.
- Develop strategies to prevent legal issues and minimize exposure for clients through proactive counsel.
- Stay up to date with changes in general liability and employment law to provide clients with current and effective legal advice.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in general liability and employment law, including litigation and pre-litigation.
- Proven ability to handle a full caseload with minimal supervision.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
- Experience in defending clients against employment-related claims, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and harassment.
- Ability to provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to clients.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
