Job Title: Employment Training Specialist – Employment First Program, Innovation and Expansion GrantType: Part-time, Hybrid (20-30 hours per week)
Location: Burlington and Camden CountiesPotential candidates will live in and be willing to travel within the region utilizing their own vehicle (mileage reimbursement).

- Work in the community with potential employers and adults with disabilities to match them up with desired employment opportunities.
- Networking with and providing Disability Awareness Trainings to local businesses will lead to developing new job opportunities for all.
- Efficiently manage a caseload of consumers in order to maximize employment outcomes and long-term success for the client and employers.
- Ability to provide effective workshop development and training to enrolled consumers.
- Give each client employment support that matches their goals and abilities.
- Assist the consumers with creating a resume, applying for jobs, and practicing interviews.
- Provide counseling and workshops regarding social norms on the job, appropriately handling workplace conflict, and taking constructive criticism.
- Network and outreach to potential employers to assess their labor needs and develop employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
- Identify employers and assist as needed, by conducting disability awareness training and technical assistance workshops for employers on disability awareness and workforce diversity.
- Develop Internship sites as directed.
- Effectively communicate with DVRS counselors, consumers, and potential employers in order to provide quality services.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in compliance with accreditation and referral sources.
- Complete logs in SETworks daily.
- Complete timely monthly reports for each consumer as required.
- Model professional workplace behavior.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of job fairs and Disability Employment Awareness Month activities.
- Participate in team meetings as needed.
- Participate in continuing education credits in order to be current with best practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Must be tech savvy and willing to utilize virtual meeting platforms. EHR’s, Teams, Outlook and other technology related to the job role.
- Experience with working with individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to establish positive, collaborative relationships with consumers, employers, referral sources
- Ability to exercise good judgment and persevere through unexpected challenges.
